November forest

In “November Forest”, the image of red viburnum carries particular significance. In Eastern European and Ukrainian cultural traditions, viburnum symbolizes life, continuity, motherhood, and resilience. The tree itself becomes a metaphor for human existence, while roots evoke connection to memory and heritage. Throughout the series, natural forms function as symbolic structures rather than descriptive elements. Contrasts between light and darkness, growth and decay, fragility and persistence create a shifting state of balance — a space where personal memory intertwines with collective cultural experience. The works are rooted in the attempt to capture transitional states: fleeting moments, emotional atmospheres, and the unstable nature of perception itself.
